maxruinseverything said: Damn yo I remember a few years ago you tellin me that you weren’t down with Trash Humpers at all. How did the film come to grow on you so much. Not that it’s a stretch, I’ve still yet to see it but Harmony is my boy.
honestly, finishing it really helped haha, once you endure so much of this film, you’re fucking delirious and that rules when a film can do that to its audience, also, around this time Korine was hanging out with Gaspar Noe, so was interested to see what influence Noe would be on Korine (not that much seeing as though they’re definitely two directors that know who they are )
i also thought more about the campaign for the film, a beautiful poster, he fucking released a series of VHS tapes with unique cover artwork and the fact that it even was available to be seen and not left on the fucking street somewhere
The film also has this amazing sense of humor that I rarely see in films these days, that kind of rotten tooth tasting comedy, like things are so intensely vile that it seems otherworldly and surreal, that fucking heinous, nervous laughter was something genuinely surprises you. the first time i saw Trash Humpers i remember thinking, what fucking planet was this filmed on

Please limit one per householdI decided to expand on the monster series and add some movies that weren’t part of the canon of the better-known Universal Monsters. They are… but most people don’t remember this movie. Werewolf of London was the first American mainstream werewolf movie and was done six years before Lon Chaney Jr., slapped a bunch of hair all over his face and started barking at the moon in The Wolf Man. Jack Pierce did the make up for both movies (as well as a bunch more including Frankenstein and Bride Of…) so you know it was awesome! I really need to start doing pub quiz or something. All this useless knowledge…
